PMP Certification Requirements

Eligibility:

So you are interested in taking the PMP exam and wonder what are the requirements for taking the exam. You are in the right spot! Below you will find what are the general requirements set forth by PMI.org.
Degree:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 years of experience with 4,500 hours of Project Management related work (Running or Directing a Project).
  • 35 hours of Project Management Training.
Diploma:
  • High school.
  • Five years of experience with 7,500 hours of Project Management related work (Running or Directing a Project).
  • 35 hours of Project Management Training.
Most people get confused on how many hours they have as a Project Manager. You do not necessarily have to have Project Manager as your title. Again let me say it one more time you do not have to have Project Manager as your title.  If you have those requirements above then you move on to the next step.

Since you have the required degree/hours you must submit to PMI showing proof of education (diploma copy), project hours (what projects did you work on and how many hours) and PMI showing that you have enough hours to sit for the exam (such as PM Higher Learning 4 day boot camp).
